A new approach to oufitting a Video Inspection Van

Cobra UK has developed a unique approach to finishing an inspection system using Speedliner spray on liner on the interior of the van. Speedliner, initially developed for use in lining truck beds, in this case is used in place of the conventional laminate/carpet covered plywood panels in an inspection van in both the equipment room and control room.

Applied to the roof and walls over plywood, the Speedliner spray on material provides an elegant clean finish to both the control room and the equipment area. The floor is also sprayed, with an aluminum oxide material added to the mixture for a non-skid surface.

The Speedliner application provides wash down capability in addition to giving the vehicle's interior a pleasing appearance. The lining is available in multiple colors and with custom graphics. The van shown has a medium grey finish. The complete van lining is accomplished in a couple of days rather than the weeks it takes to fit and finish the van using conventional plywood and laminates.

Cobra has built a diesel E 350 HCV demo van using this new Speedliner finish. The HCV is Ford's new aftermarket vehicle that uses an E 350 van extended chasis with a composite high roof designed to compete with the Dodge Sprinter. The HCV demo van is shown below.
